Indeed it is, for mydeal though. As one of the leading local deals site in Malaysia, they might wanna be looking for a more english oriented customer service to take charge of their facebook page. And this is why;
We have seen how facebook plays a big part in most businesses. Most of them will commit lots of resources in setting up a Facebook Page but that is not the end of it. Day-to-day upkeep is needed on the Page to continuously engage the community, answering questions and providing reason for them to comeback which is equally important. Mydeal in this case though most probably did not hire someone with experience or train them enough to manage/curate the brand's voice in the social media space.
Well, at least they get free advertisement :)

MyDeal REVIEW
Mydeal is one of the leading local group buying site who has done tremendously well and is gunning for a bigger and better second year of business. MyDeal.com.my was co-founded by Jan Croeni and Patrick Linden in early June 2010.Starting from humble beginnings with just five staff, the staff headcount has grown to 200 in the span of just a year. Operating largely on the same model as Groupon, the staff at myDeal.com.my endlessly scour the country in search of good deals for their subscribers, and employ a profit sharing model with the deal providers. Their dedicated team is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as well as in Singapore.
Group buying has proven to be a highly effective model for the Malaysian market, and the numbers prove it too - myDeal.com.my posted an astonishing RM2 million in revenue per month for their last business year, and have garnered over 400,000 registered members in their database. Looking forward, the team is hoping to clock a cool RM3 million of revenue per month and achieve the 800,000 mark in terms of memberships.
Besides offering sexy deals to their members, myDeal.com.my also recently launched a dedicated customer hotline to handle any inquiries or grievances with their site that operates from 8am - 11pm. According to the company, plans are in place to extend the customer hotline to 24-hours, so you can be assured that nothing goes wrong during those impulsive midnight buying sprees!
